TEGUFIL® PE Backing rod

TEGUFIL® PE is a backing rod made from closed-cell polyethylene foam with a smooth surface. The material prevents water absorption and reduces adhesion of the sealant to the profile, promoting optimum two-sided adhesion. At the same time, the relatively firm and elastic structure creates a convex limitation of the joint depth and improves the bonding surface of the sealant on the joint flanks. In addition, the profile acts as a reliable insulating material.

Application
Especially suitable as a backing rod for precisely cut joints outdoors, floor joints and joints that come into contact with water. Installation is carried out using a blunt tool.

TEGUFIL® PUR Backer Rod 15 mm / 1 m
TEGUFIL® PUR is an open-cell polyurethane round profile, soft and flexible, ideal as backer rod and insulation material for interior joints, especially slightly irregular cuts. It prevents sealant migration and ensures proper joint sealing. Joints should be exposed to minimal water to protect the sides. Density 18 kg/m³, color grey, open-cell structure. Length 1 m per rod, suitable for professional construction and renovation applications.
